Van 15 t/m 22 juli verwelkomt Nederland de beste 64 beachvolleybalteams van Europa voor het DELA EK Beachvolleybal. De wedstrijden worden gespeeld in Den Haag, Apeldoorn, Rotterdam en Utrecht.
Tijdens dit toernooi spelen ook de Nederlandse topteams Brouwer/Meeuwsen en Bouter/Varenhorst. Al 9 jaar worden de mannen gecoacht door Gijs Ronnes.
